OUR STORY & CORE VALUES

Five Years of Footsteps: The Story Behind Lumacart

Lumacart began as a private running journal in the autumn of 2019. Founder Luna Carter was exhausted by the conflicting advice flooding mainstream fitness blogs, where corporate gear sponsors and aggressive training regimes drowned out practical, human experience. She made a personal promise to run every single morning for 365 days, recording the genuine physical challenges, mental hurdles, and seasonal adaptations along the way.

That initial year stretched into five unbroken years of daily movement across British city streets, coastal trails, and rainy country roads. As friends and fellow runners began asking for her training notes and gear tips, Luna realized that runners were craving honest, grounded advice focused on longevity, sustainable pacing, and physical comfort rather than unrealistic marathon milestones.

Today, Lumacart operates as an independent UK publication dedicated to truthful running education. We refuse sponsored placements, test all apparel and footwear independently, and review every training essay through verified coaching standards to ensure our readers build balanced, lifelong running habits.
